The Commerce Classic is hosted by the Cure Cancer Classic at Queen’s University and brings charity university teams from across Ontario together for a three-day tournament. Each year, Grand River Classic is proud to send three teams to compete: Team Lazaridis, Team Arts & Science, and a Women’s Team Lazaridis!

Last year was a weekend to remember, with all three teams representing Laurier on the ice and making the most of the tournament. The highlight came when our Women’s Laz team took home the championship, defeating Queen’s Commerce in a thrilling shootout in the finals. It was an incredible weekend of hockey, competition, and team spirit, all while coming together to raise money and support the fight against cancer. We can’t wait to return next year and do it all again!
